Supreme Wash & Wax

WASH, DECONTAMINATION & MID-LEVEL PROTECTION

  • Signature swirl-free wash with SiO2-fortified hydrophobic shampoo

  • Full wheel service including wheel and tire scrub finished with long-lasting tire shine

  • Standard decontamination with hydrophobic spray wax & sealant

  • FREE coating of Ceramic Wheel Sealant

The Supreme Wash & Wax is for vehicles that are average to heavily soiled. Recommended for paintwork that is new (less than a year old) and mostly free of micro-scratches, swirls and other paint defects. If you are unsure if your paintwork has defects or imperfections, check out our Paint Correction page to help you identify imperfections.

Our goal with the Supreme Wash & Wax is to clean the paint as much as we can through a wash and standard decontamination. Washing alone will only remove loose surface contaminants. A decontamination removes bonded contaminants like road tar, tree sap, embedded iron particles, metal & industrial fallout, and bonded mineral deposits by both mechanical and chemical decon processes.

The Supreme Wash & Wax is best paired with the Deep Clean interior package. For lightly soiled interiors, the Quick Detail may suffice.

The Wash Process

Proper washing techniques are essential to keeping your car’s paintwork in superb condition. Every good detailer knows a proper, professional hand wash ensures that the paint is cleaned in a way that will not cause any further paint defects or imperfections — something automatic car washes are notorious for. Even some hand car washes are not great for your car if they are not staffed with professional detailing technicians. Here at Wrenn’s, our technicians are IDA-certified detailing professionals trained in defect-preventative washing techniques.

1 | Pre-rinse

The first step in the wash process is pre-rinsing the entire vehicle from top to bottom. This ensures that all large loose particles and contaminants are free from the vehicle’s paintwork. It is imperative in the pre-rinse to remove as many particles as possible that may cause minor to moderate defects and imperfections during the touch wash.

2 | TouchLess wash

After pre-rinsing, we began the preliminary washing steps which is followed by a secondary rinse. In most cases, the preliminary wash is in the form of a touchless wash. The entire exterior of the vehicle is coated in a thick layer of high foaming shampoo, left to dwell for a few minutes, and then completely pressure rinsed. This ensures that any particles that got left behind in the pre-rinse are cleared before we lay a finger on the paintwork.

3 | touch wash

The primary washing stages follow immediately after the touchless wash. A touch wash is the most aggressive, yet effective approach to tackling paint soil. This is why it is so important to ensure the exterior is as “contaminant-free” as possible before making any contact with the paint. A two-bucket washing method and linear washing pattern is used to further prevent micro-scratches and swirls.

4 | final rinse & Dry

Once all of the panels have been contact-washed, a final rinse of the exterior is done to wash away all soap residue and remaining loose contaminants. Lastly, we complete the wash with a contactless drying process through the use of car blowers and compressed air. Sometimes, a contact drying process is necessary depending on conditions and goals of the detail. Though our wash process can remove 95% of loose contaminants, bonded contaminants cannot be removed by washing alone. Bonded contaminants are virtually invisible and must be removed by decontamination in order for proper protection (wax, sealant and the like) adhesion.

Exterior Detailing FAQs

Will you come to me?

Yes! We are a fully mobile operation. All we need from you is a water source and power source. If you would like to drop off your vehicle to us, we do have private space at a fixed location. Unfortunately, this location isn’t open to the public or set-up to accommodate walk-ins at this time. We will provide the address to you upon making an appointment for drop-off.

How long does it take?

The duration of the service depends on many factors. The service or package being done, vehicle size, condition, and vehicle type all affect how long we will need. Generally, a Wash & Wax takes 2-3 hours and our Showroom Shine package takes 3-5 hours.

Do you need anything from me when you get here?

All we need is a water source and power source. We have plenty of 100 ft. extension cords and hoses so no worries if the vehicle is not very close to a power or water source. Please leave us with as much room to work around your vehicle as possible. The more room we have to work, the better the results we can get.

What if the weather is bad?

Unfortunately, because being a fully mobile detailer usually requires us to work outside, weather is a big factor in whether we can work or not. Generally, as long as it’s not raining and isn’t too cold (below 40°F), we can service your vehicle no problem. If your vehicle is garaged with enough space to move around it, then we could service it in there and weather won’t affect your appointment whatsoever.
