The Deep Clean Process 

Since our goal for the Deep Clean package is to bring your interior back to the best condition possible, we have a very thorough and extensive process. The Deep Clean includes 8 standard individual services and can be customized by adding additional services. This process outline only details (no pun intended!) out those 8 standard included services; so, if you are looking for a particular interior service that isn’t listed here, check the “Additional Services” subsection of the Deep Clean section (Hint: It’s directly above this section)

1 | Vacuuming

Thoroughly vacuuming the interior is the most important part of an automotive interior cleaning or detail. We start the vacuuming stages at the rear of the vehicle with the trunk and then we slowly but surely make our way through to the rest of the cabin, finishing with the driver and front passenger area.

2 | Clean & Detail

Detailing (as a service of a detailer, detailing or auto reconditioning shop) refers to the actual cleaning, dressing and (typically) protection of a vehicle’s interior or exterior. During the Clean & Detail phase of the process, nearly all the interior surfaces, compartments, door pockets, and cupholders are “perfectly” cleaned (meaning they are cleaned “as much as possible” versus a spot or standard cleaning which is focused on just condition improvement alone) with a properly diluted All-Purpose Cleaner (APC). Many surfaces are agitated with detailing brushes and picks, cotton swabs, all-purpose towels and other essential tools.

3 | Steam Cleaning

Steam cleaning is usually a premium service offered by professional detailers for a pretty hefty up-charge (up to $100!) Here at Wrenn’s, we include a full steam cleaning with every Deep Clean detail. Steam is used for many purposes throughout the cleaning of the interior. In addition to breaking down caked-on gunk and grime, steam is also used to clean in between interior panel gaps and other very tight areas that not even a brush bristle can access.

4 | Leather & Vinyl

All leather, vinyl, rubber, and other plastic components are cleaned, dressed (a conditioner is applied), and protected against harmful UV radiation that potentially oxidizes, ages and degrades both synthetic and natural materials with a UV protectant. Though our interior dressings (conditioners) are designed for use on a wide range of synthetic and natural materials, a dedicated leather reconditioning may be desired for moderately to heavily soiled leather seats or surfaces. Leather reconditioning is a dedicated additional service that can be added to any Deep Clean package.

5 | Glass & Mirrors

Properly cleaning reflective surfaces like glass and mirrors is one of the most difficult tasks in automotive detailing. We strive to achieve a 100% streak-free finish through the use of dedicated solvent-based glass cleaners and quality microfiber towels specifically designed for use on glass and mirrors. If you are constantly annoyed by interior glass fogging, an anti-fog interior coating can be applied as an additional service.

6 | finishing steps & Inspection

Once all of the primary interior cleaning and detailing steps have been completed, finishing steps are done before a final inspection of our work completes the detail. Finishing steps include final touch-ups, wiping down of door jambs, and deep cleaning and shampooing floor mats.
